Recess Valve

The Recess Valve is a mechanical device mounted in walls between two spaces. It has a blade or set of blades held closed by a counterweight or spring. When the pressure difference between the two rooms reaches a set point, the blade opens to let air pass through, relieving excess pressure. When the pressure drops back to normal, the blade closes automatically. This happens continuously to maintain a steady pressure difference without any electrical power or sensors.
