Smoke Exhaust Fire Damper

The product is a specialized valve installed in mechanical smoke exhaust systems. It normally remains open, ready to exhaust smoke during a fire. When the smoke temperature inside the duct reaches 280°C, the smoke exhaust fire damper automatically closes. This action seals off the duct, preventing superheated fire and smoke from spreading further. It meets strict standards for smoke leakage and fire resistance. Therefore, a reliable product serves as your system's last line of defense against extreme heat.

The working principle of this product is straightforward. A thermal fuse (temperature sensor) is the core trigger. When the airflow temperature reaches 280°C, the fuse activates, and a spring forces the valve shut. Upon closing, a micro switch sends a signal to the fire control panel, confirming that the product has closed.

Control options include: normally open for daily operation; electric closure via a DC 24V signal from the control center for system interlocking; and mandatory mechanical closure at 280°C for ultimate safety. After a fire, the product must be manually reset on site, and the fuse must be replaced.

The standard manual product closes at 280°C via a fuse and spring mechanism. It can be manually operated and outputs a closure signal.

The motorized product adds remote control capability: it closes via a DC 24V signal or automatically at 280°C, and it stops the connected fan.

The auto-reset smoke exhaust fire damper offers added convenience: after closing, it can automatically reopen when supplied with DC 24V power.
